Patricia
Deubel was an educator for over forty years, and earned a doctorate in Computing
Technology in Education. She gained a vast knowledge of classroom
practices, teaching methodology, and instructional design principles. Her teaching and research background
provide a solid foundation in mathematics teaching and learning, curriculum development, and
learning with technology, including online learning.
In addition to over 50 professional publications and presentations, she has worked on interactive multimedia instructional design projects, coordinated professional development activities, and has held faculty positions at Nova Southeastern University, The Ohio State University-Mansfield, Capella University, and Walden University. At Capella she focused on technology skills and instructional strategies for virtual teachers, and curriculum mapping. At Walden University, she was a contributing faculty member in the Ph.D. specialization for educational technology and lead faculty for The Evolution of Educational Technology in Society, Education, and the Workplace.
Dr. Deubel also holds an undergraduate degree in mathematics, and a master's degree in curriculum and instruction with computer education emphasis, and additional training in supervision. She taught mathematics to secondary and university level students for over 25 years.
